In development
NoteLace on your phone, coming soon.
The desktop app is what NoteLace is built around — but a mobile companion has been the most-asked feature since launch, and it’s the next major thing on the roadmap after sync reliability. We’d rather ship it well than ship it now.
What we’re aiming for
- Native apps, not a wrapped web view — fast scrolling, fast search, calm typing.
- Two-way sync with your desktop vault via the same per-user CouchDB you already have. Offline-first, like the desktop is.
- Quick capture for moments when you don’t have a laptop open.
- The same Markdown rendering pipeline, so notes look identical on every device.
A note on encryption
End-to-end encryption is the next workstream after we ship the first mobile build. Today, sync is encrypted in transit (TLS) but the cloud copy of your notes can technically be read by us — we don’t, but we could. E2EE will fix that everywhere, including on mobile. If you care about that specifically, tick the box below — we’ll notify you the moment E2EE-on-mobile ships, not just when the first mobile build lands.
Join the waitlist
We’ll email you exactly once when the mobile companion is ready — and again if you ticked the E2EE-on-mobile box, when that ships. No newsletter, no marketing emails.
